Sinikka Nogelo, contemporary painter, born in Finland, lives and works in Gloucester, MA. She is a member of the Abstract Artists Group of New England, the New England Experimental Group, Rocky Neck Art Colony, and the Cape Ann Artisans Studio Tour. In 2017 she was inducted into the National Association of Women Artists.

In addition to painting, Nogelo makes wall pieces from recyclables and found objects, and is a frequent contributor as a sculptor in the Maudslay Outdoor Sculpture Show, Newburyport, MA.

ILO is Finnish for Joy. It's a celebration of the human capacity to find meaning, beauty, and renewal. It's a strong force that respects both the highs and lows, whether deeply personal or universally shared. "It's the feeling I get every time I make art.It's the mysterious blessing that lets artists use imagination and color to capture everyday life"
